Revised 4 August 2026
This is the same copy that ships inside the app.
Vita is a screen-time app, so the honest summary is this: it collects how long you use apps, and nothing about what you do inside them.
What Vita collects
- Daily totals and hourly buckets of device use.
- Per-app time, taken from the platform’s own Screen Time reporting.
- Your account details: email address, username and display name.
- Your goal, streak, score and any challenges or friendships you create.
What Vita never collects
- Message content.
- Photos or camera access.
- Contacts.
- Precise location.
- The URLs or pages you browse.
What friends can see
Friends only ever see your daily total, your headline score and your streak. They never see per-app data and never see your hours. Accounts under 16 are never publicly discoverable.
Where it is stored
Data is held in Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security, so a request authenticated as you can only ever read your own rows. Your session token is kept in the device keychain, not in general storage.
How long it is kept
Usage history is retained for the window set in your settings and older rows are removed on a schedule. Closing your account deletes every row tied to it after the seven-day grace period.
Your rights
You can export your entire record as JSON, or schedule deletion, from Privacy and data inside the app. Both act on your account immediately — neither requires you to write to us. For anything else, including questions about lawful basis or a complaint, contact founder@vitaqz.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the app will tell you before the change takes effect.
