These terms cover your use of Vita. Using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, write to founder@vitaqz.com and we will explain it.

Who may use Vita

You must be at least 13 to hold an account. Accounts belonging to people under 16 are never publicly discoverable and do not appear in public leaderboards.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and your device secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account. You may close your account at any time from Privacy and data; deletion runs after a seven-day grace period, during which you can cancel it.

What Vita does

Vita reads how long you spend on each app, turns that into a daily total and a score, and lets you compare that total with friends you have chosen to add. It is a measurement and motivation tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is clinical advice about screen use, sleep or mental health.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Your data

You keep ownership of your data. You can export the whole of it or delete your account at any time. How the data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability and changes

Vita is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces what the app does for you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Vita is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending these terms

You may stop using Vita at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
